Taylor & Wade

The Barretts | April 20th, 2024

From the moment Taylor and I had our first planning meeting - I knew that their big day was going to a blast! Taylor’s vision was so clear and unique I couldn’t wait to get to planning! Taylor being as creative as she is, we had so much fun coming up with all the small and unique details that truly pulled their day together. Wade & Taylor tied the knot on the morning of April 20th, 2024 on their beautiful sailboat, Indigo. They sailed out with their pastor, and their cat, Lewy, for a sweet, intimate ceremony. Their ceremony was followed by beautiful pictures at the Grand Hotel beach and then a family brunch at their favorite local spot. I just love how unique their day was and just how “them” it was! I am always so excited when couples have such a vision of how they want their day to go - especially when it is this unique.

Their reception was hosted at a private residence and was the most perfect venue for their day, adorned with palms, colorful landscaping and nestled under beautiful oaks. The courtyard was the perfect compliment for Taylor’s vision of a Caribbean, coastal look. We added a playful and unique touch as a nod to Taylor and Wade’s love of sailing by using a dinghy in the courtyard for a drink station. Touches of sailboats, tropical fruits, bright, playful, colors and palms. Cutlery wrapped and tied with a lifesaver, a life saver guest book, and the most fun dessert table you’ve ever seen! While the fun began downstairs, Taylor and Wade were hidden away as guests arrived to the property and were welcomed by cocktail hour and a steel drum player. Upon being introduced, Taylor and Wade made their way downstairs to kick off the night with their special first dance. Dinner was a custom menu from an awesome local BBQ joint with the perfect Caribbean flair - such a hit! The Barretts had such a fun group of people that were so ready to dance the night way - and that is exactly what they did! I truly loved being a part of the Barrett’s day from start to finish. So many details and planning went into their day and it could not have been more THEM! Thank you to Taylor and Wade for trusting me with your big day!
